Thank you and Happy Holidays from SuM4All

As we approach the end of the year, we would like to express our gratitude to our 57 member organizations, donors, and the entire SuM4All network. As we look ahead to a future where the Sustainable Mobility for All Partnership can make a greater impact, we want to take a moment to reflect on the journey we have had this year.

Firstly, we published the second edition of the Global Mobility Report 2022, which is a valuable resource to equip transport practitioners with data and analysis to assess the performance of transport systems on a global scale and at the country level.

During the International Transport Forum Summit in Leipzig, we launched 2 reports as part of the GRA in Action Series.

• The first report “Enhancing Policy and Action for Safe Mobility” offers practical guidance, case studies, and resources to help countries implement the Safe System approach. This approach promotes a proactive and coordinated strategy among all stakeholders to improve road safety and create transport systems that are inherently safer by nature and account for human error.
• The second report “Gender imbalance in the transport sector: A toolkit for change” identifies key barriers and key entry points to tackle gender inequality in the transport sector. It provides targeted recommendations and in-depth case studies, to guide initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality.

We utilized the SuM4All Consortium meetings in Washington DC and Leipzig to discuss future strategic directions of the SuM4All Partnership. These discussions aimed to ensure that our efforts have a meaningful impact and remain relevant to our members and the wider transport community.

In October, the SuM4All Steering Committee members gathered in London for a two-day workshop. The purpose of this workshop was to reflect on SuM4All’s role and positioning of SuM4All in a changing global environment.

We sincerely hope that we can continue to rely on your support and partnership as we strive to make a more significant impact in the transport sector in 2024 and beyond.
