This event will bring together Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) and Sustainable Mobility for All (SuM4All) in a unique gathering at COP26 to discuss the intersection between energy and transport, in the context of a decarbonized future.

The objectives of this event are to provide insight into the links between growing energy demand for transport and tools and resources available to transition to sustainable mobility systems; highlight the benefits of planning energy and mobility infrastructure together. The event will provide an opportunity to present the Digital Toolkit for Energy and Mobility that was developed by SuM4All’s Energy and Mobility Working Group, “Electromobility in the Global South: An Equitable Transition toward Road Passenger Transport Decarbonization, the SuM4All’s paper recently launched at COP26, which raises issues for dialogue on the e-mobility model to decarbonize the transport sector, from the perspective of the poorest countries in the world.  The latter intends to rebalance the electromobility debate with the issues faced by the Lower and Middle Income Countries.

This hybrid event will be based on a combination of short presentations and a panel discussion with one moderator and 3 panelists.

The event will conclude with the announcement of the Energy Access Booster Awards for Sustainable Mobility, providing each of the five winners with a $50,000 prize, strategic advisory, and support on communications and outreach.
