Sustainable Mobility for All (SuM4All)—World Bank's award-winning premier platform for international cooperation on sustainable transport and mobility—is organizing its 11th Consortium Meeting. The event's biannual gathering will bring together more than 50 Member organizations and position its partnership in the runup to COP26. At the forefront is a discussion of its flagship contribution to the debate on decarbonization, capturing the perspective of countries in the Global South. The first segment of the 11th Consortium Meeting welcomes both Members and non-Members. The second segment of the meeting, restricted to Members, has the Working Group structure for 2022–23 on its agenda.

Objectives

  • Introduce SuM4all's contribution to the COP26 process with the draft paper, “Perspective: Challenges and Opportunities for an Equitable Transition toward Decarbonization” along with the GRA in Action series—actionable policy guidance developed from the Global Roadmap of Action Toward Sustainable Mobility (GRA) on cutting-edge topics of transport decarbonization.
  • Engage with a high-level panel representing countries from the Global South on the key messages from the draft paper.
  • Ensure that the draft paper reflects key questions and concerns that are important to the Global South on the right pathway to decarbonizing road transport.

Participation

The 11th Consortium Meeting is open to public policy makers, transport and energy experts, researchers, and the wider public and private sector stakeholders interested in or implementing action toward sustainable mobility.
