Country Mobility Performance Dashboards

What is a Country Mobility Performance Dashboard? 

The Country Mobility Performance Dashboard provides a snapshot of a country’s transport system performance against the four goals that define sustainable mobility—that is universal access, efficiency, safety, and green mobility—irrespective of the mode of transportation. The metrics and data are derived from the Global Tracking Framework for Transport (GTF).

Each country's dashboard provides:  

• A ranking of that country relative to the rest of the world in terms of sustainability of its transport system, using the Global Sustainable Mobility Index score (GSMI)  
• Estimates of the “sustainability gap” (by a goal) of that transport system to enable quantification and ranking of transport issues in that country. 
• 7 principal and 53 supporting indicators to refine the assessment of the country’s transport system performance.  

Why are Country Mobility Performance Dashboards important? 

These Dashboards provide the basis for refined assessments of countries’ transport systems and can be used to:   

• Guide policy action, using sustainable mobility as the standard for transport systems. 
• Support national debates on prioritization and formulation of transport and mobility implementation strategies, and  
• Facilitate comparison of transport system performances among countries, using standard and internationally agreed metrics.  

How does it work? 

Individual country dashboards can be accessed by selecting the country on the map below and clicking on them. These dashboards are regularly updated, with the latest in 2022.
